Electronic faxing eliminates the need to consume ink and paper for
receiving every fax many of which are advertises anyway. It also
reduces the time needed to process all the fax messages.

make a digital copy of all the important faxes by scanning and
saving the electronic copies. This is a time consuming process
given the number of faxes received on a daily basis.
With AccessPlug™

accounts. Receptionists can open the fax messages on their computers
and easily save them on the server. Our system keeps fax messages on
our secure server for 30 days. Faxes are saved in multiple
locations, like your email box, your computer or server and our

Electronic Faxing and doctors offices:
A Doctors office
is a place where situations can occur in a split second. This means
that Doctors like to have a hand in the day to day management of
their practice as well as the day to day patients they see. Due to
this, Doctors offices have changed over time so they can see a well
managed environment that uses the latest technology to save time,
money and consumables.
How it
works?
Electronic
faxing is system where a fax sender will use their fax machine to
send a request to the practice of their Doctor using a normal fax
number. When the fax is received at the other end it does not print
out on fax paper like a normal fax machine, in fact the data is sent
via the service provider and received by email in to an email box.
This works as
the provider of the service has systems that automatically convert
the sent fax into the TIFF or PDF formats before attaching it as an
email. This Email will have the date and time received number of
pages and the name and fax number of the sender.
Even though the
system works through a conventional fax number, there is no
telephone line or fax machine needed at the Doctors office as the
data is transferred through to the Email inbox through the power of
the Internet. This means that only an Internet connection is needed
to receive the faxed data.
Savings:
One of the main
benefits to using electronic faxing is the extra money it can save
through the removal of paper and the cartridges needed for a fax
machine to print. The costs may not sound like a lot in savings but
for a practice that has a large patient base this can relate to
thousands every year.
Electronic Archiving:
Another benefit
is the ease in which all faxes received can be archived for future
use; it is as simple as saving the attached TIFF or PDF file in to a
specified and secure area on the computer network. This
accessibility is very important as it adds to a patients file and
means that if another Doctor needs to review the patients data they
can see all correspondence associated with their issue. |
